R & J’s Garden Restaurant is currently operating from 331 22nd Street West in the Town of Battleford, Saskatchewan. This family restaurant greets customers with an attractive Chinese decor. Both lunch and supper menus present a large selection of Western and Chinese food choices. The large menu offers many new modern Hong Kong style food offerings. Menu items are also available for pick-up and delivery. The restaurant’s structure measures L- 52’ X W - 32’ (1664 SQ. ft.); foundation and basement are constructed of concrete, with timber framing and drywall used for interior of main floor. The buildings exterior is stucco siding with a tin roof. There is a north front porch entry that measures approximately 12’ x 12’ attached to the main building. A full basement houses mechanical units: furnace w/AC, water softener, and walk-in freezer. At the rear of the building there is a 12’ X 8’ storage shed. The total area of the site is 0.061 hectares (0.15 acres). The asphalt parking lot on the west side of the building houses eight parking stalls. On street parking is easily available. The front main floor of the restaurant consists of a large dining area, seating 50 plus. The modern stainless-steel kitchen and washrooms are located in the rear. The basement is used for storage, as well as an office and a large walk-in freezer. Central air and a natural gas furnace are used for temperature controls inside the building. An additional air conditioning unit is located near the front of the restaurant, and is used to cool the seating area when the restaurant is busy during the hot summer. The restaurant has a well-equipped commercial kitchen, in immaculate condition and fully furnished, with cooking equipment, utensils, dishes, furniture, and much more.
